Terms of Engagement
This page summarises the key terms of the engagement letter you sign before we begin your identity verification. It is not a substitute for the full letter — the complete, current engagement letter is shown to you in full inside the application wizard, where you review and sign it before we open your case.
Your responsibilities (Clause 4)
By engaging TAH for identity verification, you confirm that:
- All information you provide to us will be true, accurate and complete;
- You will complete the identity check personally — it cannot be completed on your behalf by a third party;
- You will complete the identity verification check within 14 days of receiving your verification link, after which the link will expire;
- You will provide an email address that only you can access, as Companies House will send your personal verification code directly to this address; and
- You will notify us promptly of any change in your circumstances relevant to this engagement.
Liability, confidentiality and termination (Clause 6)
Our liability under this engagement is capped at the fee you paid (£125 or £175, as applicable to your case), except where liability cannot lawfully be limited. We will keep your information confidential, save where we are required by law to make a report (for example, under money laundering regulations) — we are not permitted to notify you if such a report is made. Either party may terminate this engagement by written notice; fees for work already completed remain payable. This engagement is governed by the law of England and Wales.
What this engagement does not cover (Clause 7)
This engagement does not include: incorporating a company, appointing directors, other Companies House filings, connecting your personal verification code to your Companies House record (you must do this yourself once you receive your code), verifying the identity of any other individual (a separate engagement is required for each person), Register of Overseas Entities verification, or tax, legal or immigration advice.
Fee
Our fee is £175, all-inclusive, for foreign or overseas directors, or £125, all-inclusive, for UK-based directors. Payment is due before we open your case and issue any identity verification link, by bank transfer using the details provided at the payment step of the application.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with our service, please contact Kader Ameen, Director, at Kader@taxandaccountinghub.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and provide a full response within 20 working days. If you remain unsatisfied, you may escalate your complaint to the AAT.
The full engagement letter
The complete engagement letter — including the purpose and scope of the engagement, document requirements, data protection terms, and record retention clauses — is presented in full, with your specific fee shown live, inside our application wizard. You'll review and electronically sign the full letter as part of step 6 of the application before we open your case. Read our Privacy Policy for how we handle your data.
